The Unified Transportation Management Workshop is a focused gathering of professionals responsible for managing transportation infrastructure in Canadian municipalities or counties.
During this full-day workshop in Toronto, we will discuss in detail a modern approach to managing asset data that support linear transportation networks.The goal is to better equip your stakeholders with “shovel-ready” information they need to be more strategic with transportation infrastructure investment decisions.
The workshop will be split in three sessions:
- Executive overview tailored for non-technical staff to define the real tangible benefits of managing a linear transportation network in a spatial environment. This session will demonstrate the "art of the possible" using a well-designed unified transportation system.

- Deeper Dive: Working session in ArcGIS with real transportation data to uncover the successes and pitfalls of managing a wide range of assets in typical transportation networks.*
- Deeper Dive: Discussion on lessons learned. Using the knowledge from the above section, we will discuss how best to support an authoritative system of record while delivering value to multiple data providers and consumers in a collaborative environment.
Who this session is for: practical professionals.
Professionals directly involved with the management of road data (GIS, linear referencing systems, road asset managers) are encouraged to attend. In addition, stakeholders who consume road data (traffic engineers, pavement management professionals, operations and maintenance managers) are welcome to participate.
