The New ArcGIS Utility Network Management Extension: What is it and what should I do about it?

Session Overview

In January of 2018, as part of the ArcGIS 10.6 update, Esri released a whole new set of capabilities for complex network management, known as the Utility Network. The Utility Network is an extension for ArcGIS Enterprise that enables complete geospatial network management and related processes to be managed via web services, a first for any GIS solution provider.

In this webinar, we will provide an overview of several important changes and capabilities the Utility Network can bring to your organization, followed by a discussion of how you can develop your plan to explore and potentially adopt the Utility Network in the future.

Key Points

  • Learn about the capabilities of the new ArcGIS Utility Network Management Extension
  • Understand the technical & business requirements involved in transitioning from the Geometric Network or a third-party network management tool, to the Utility Network
  • Learn about our recommended roadmap and strategy to transition to the Utility Network, and develop an appreciation for what must be considered for that transition to be successful.

Intended Audience

This webinar is designed for GIS and Line of Business Managers and Senior Analysts that work at Water, Electric and Gas Utilities.
